Les Vieilles Charrues

Seen as the largest festival in France with at least 200,000 spectators each year, the festival of Vieilles Charrues has existed since 1992. It offers, for four days, many scenes as well as renowned artists.

 

Location : Carhaix, in Finistère

 

Date : from July 18th to July 21st, 2019

Hellfest

It is the largest metal festival in France with artists from around the world. In 2018, according to the organizers, the festival has welcomed more than 180,000 people on all three days.

 

Location : Clisson, in Loire-Atlantique

Les Eurockéennes

Dedicated to rock for 25 years, the Eurockéennes set fire for 3 days and 3 nights in the town of Belfort in Burgundy-Franche-Comté. 135,000 people were present in 2018, most of whom are regulars at the festival.

Rock En Seine

It is one of the unmissable Parisian festivals this summer in August. As the name suggests, it is a rock festival that takes place every year since 2003 along the Seine.

 

Location : Parc de Saint-Cloud, in Paris.

Les Francofolies

The festival Francofolies mixes all genres of French music, bringing together artists from completely different worlds. At the seaside it attracts many people, with 150 000 festival-goers in 2018 according to the organization.

Solidays

Since 1999, the Solidays festival has been fully donating its profits to the association Solidarité SIDA. So besides acting for a good cause you can attend the concerts of 150 prestigious artists.

Electrobeach Music Festival

France's largest electro music festival, Electrobeach has hosted more than 100,000 ravers each year since 2009 on Lydia beach, with the Lydia on display, the oldest boat in the world.

Nuits Sonores

Les Nuits Sonores, a festival with all kinds of music : techno, electro, club...takes place inside the former factory Fagor-Brandt in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon, which gives an even more electric atmosphere.

Garorock

For 4 days, the Garorock festival mixes all genres of music on different stages. Its name comes from a play of word between "Garonne" and "Rock".  It exists since 2007 and it’s one of the most important festivals of France.

Main Square

Created to promote the small town of Arras, the Main Square festival allows us to start the summer holidays well. The world-renowned artist programming has made it a festival that has been welcoming festivalgoers since 2004.
